This pilot whale was in the tank for a long time before he came over to anyone, even for fish. He would hover in the background watching my interactions with the other whales. When he did finally start coming over, a couple of dolphins or sometimes the orcas would come over and push their way in forcing him out so they would get my attention. After a few rounds of this, I began fending off the others and keeping my attention on him, attempting to let everyone know that I had a say in he matter and I was to be shared equally. This tact seem to work as they finally backed off and let us have some time.

This is Sea World San Diego back in 1980. I think the two Orcas are Kotar and Kasatka.

Stop showing these pictures it gets my jelly Dx I went to the dolphin pool but didnt get to spend as much time as I wanted there
